This is the first site I've ever made and yesterday is the first time I've ever looked at html code before, so let me know what you think of this please and maybe things I could improve. Thank you so much!

did you make the layout?if so..I must say it is a very good job for a first timer.Very simple and clean...A few suggestions:
Lower the font size a bit on the dates...it's just a tad 'too' big imho
Maybe add a bit of color?tis a little bland..
Maybe make the header a little more.....catchy?tis very plain...the header is where you can really play around with design/color/styles
Remove the bottom 'home' link...it stands out of place from the rest of the site...and since you already have one on top..you don't need just that one link repeated on the bottom
Other then that...I really can't think of any suggestions at the moment...except check your site over with the validator on http://www.w3.org ...choose a doctype and make sure the document is valid for the doctype.
Overall...one of the best first attempts I've seen....

Pretty amazing for a first site. However, your choice of colors and the site banner is a bit bland. Look into incorporating some color as well as spiffing up the banner and your on your way to a great looking site.
Is there a way to put the ads at the bottom of the page?
Also, your contact page has close to nothing on it. If your going to put your email address alone you might as well have the link on the navbar a 'mailto' link.
One final suggestion. When you link outside your page you should have it open up a new window.
Very impressive for a first site, good work!

A bit boring, have some flash files or CSS embeaded into your template. Also make it a little bigger my resultion is 1024 X 764 so its a little small. Get a better banner maybe try using PSP 8 and Adobe PS 7 for the one image (work well with each other). So otherwise very good job!
Rate: 7/10
Details: In need of a tune-up adding CSS and Flash maybe Java.

make it a little bigger my resultion is 1024 X 764 so its a little small ... I must disagree. An important rule in webdesign is to design your site to work with all or most resolutions and browsers. Making it any bigger will crete an annoying horizontal scrollbar for anyone using less resolution that 1024x764. Keep in mind that 800x600 is still used by about 40% of the people...
