Dear all,
can someone help me?
I bought a domain.com at joker.com but - as my site in on tripod - I have access neither to DNS nor IP. I can I do the URL forwarding? Can someone help me?

Hi Roberta,
If you're getting serious about your website (and it seems you are since you bought yourself a domain now), I would reccomend leaving tripod. Hypermart.net offers a free 10 meg website, cgi use, and domain HOSTING (you won't have to worry about forwarding with your domain).
If you're worried about losing traffic from your old site with this move, all you need to do is change your old pages after you transfer the site to something like:
This page has moved, please visit us at out new location: domain.com
Or you could simply set up a refresh tag to redirect your visitors to your new site automatically. Either method is a good long term stragety.
On another note, I'd just like to mention that 123webmaster.com origionally got it's start on a hypermart.net account via their free hosting package, and if we had to start over, we'd do it again http://talkboard.123webmaster.com/ubbhtml/smile.gif
