How do you accept credit cards

My name is Jeffery Beale and I have just started a web page design company. I have a few set backs that I need help with. The most important is how to exept credit cards. I have a discover
merhant account and they said that if I get a terminal I can accept all major cards. Can I use a virtual terminal provided through a web host. I also looked into 3rd party billing. None that I emailed contacted me back. I felt they were product oriented and not service geared. Do anyone know of a good online billing company or software for web page designers. I am being hosted right now by Cox cable but will I need a web host that has e-commerce capability or is there a free service that offers that that I
can link my commerce page to. Since I am starting out and don't have a lot of money for investment I am trying to go with the least amount of monthly overhead so if there are free or low cost providers and services please provide me the link. I thank you.

I apologize for the cross posting. I am new to these forums and was not sure of the response time or the effectiveness of each catogory. I was pleasantly surprised at the efficiency. No harm done Starvin. Anyway, look into ibill. It has a built-in shopping cart system and can handle many products. If it passes the Doni test, it's gotta be decent. I look forward to seeing you around the board.
