It's me again! I tend to do most of my work in Fireworks 4.0. Export it to Dreamweaver 4.0. Now the question is, how do I decrease the size of my web page? It is sitting at 268kb. I got it down ot 260kb. I have used the export wizard and tried removing colors, making jpg or gif to see which is smaller, and don't know what to do now. Because in Dreamweaver, the page is all sliced up in small gif's, so i am not really able to convert any particular part to different file formats. Is it neccessary to have it all sliced up or can that be prevented? What is jpg mask, can that help? Please any feed back on this is great feed back. Thanks everyone!

260k??! WHoa! thats huge for a page! Post your url, though I imagine that it will take forever to load. You probably just have one major problem: too many pictures. Its easy to do w/imageready. But you cant effectively design a whole web page in pictures. It will take too long to download. Anyway, lets have a look at your page.....

yeah it took a while, the rollovers took the longest. The page looks good, however...it really is all pics. I am not sure what you could do to reduce the filesize w/o getting rid of some of the pics.
Its just not practical to use 260k filesizes for wepages, because each page will take a while to load. The coding is 9k, so that means you have about 250 of images....thats a lot!!!
