Using Flash

Hi.. I just need to ask some basic question about using Flash. I've some games and I think those are made by Flash 5. Wasn't Flash is for making web presentation? How can they make it into games? And I whould like you to teach me how to use Flash to make a button that allows people to click on it. Thanks.
