You shouldn't buy very cheap domains as it could be a scam, and you won't have your domain anymore.

Try registering at well-known big places as you know that it is secure. :)

Why do you want to find a site that is only below $9? Why don't you join those FREE site? Just like Freeservers which have short address....

Hope this helps

Freeservers put banner ads on your site and they don't give you your own domain, they'll give you something like www.yourname.fs.com which doesn't look very professional.

Sorry, I think $9.95 is the lowest out there (without some kind of bulk restriction or occult membership required).

Can't say I know of any because any registrar charging less than $10 for a .com will soon be a broke registrar.

I don't buy domains below $10.

I work for an ICANN registrar. I know the real costs in running such a business.

OK...Do you guys want to get domains for really cheap? Yes you do. Well listen up, I'm going to tell you how.

I'd suggest you visit this site www.icann.org/registrars/accreditation.htm, and follow the links under "How to Become an ICANN-Accredited Registrar".

Once you have completed the process of becoming an ICANN registrar, and paid the $16,000 (+ $170,000 in performance bonds) to do so, then you can purchase .com, .net, and .org domains for $6! (I guess that burst your dreams of finding them any cheaper, eh?) Now, of course you must realize that you need to operate your business, so "operating expenses" have to be added to that $6. When you factor in office space, power, computers, servers, Internet access, web hosting for your site (unless you want to build a data center), staff, etcetera, your cost per domain is now probably in the range of $8 - $10! Unless you plan on doing it by yourself with your laptop (good luck).

Do you sell your current offerings at a loss? I didn't think so.

If you guys don't want to use my services, that is fine. I'm not here to sell them to you, I'm here to offer assistance with domain related matters. It bothers me though, to see people looking for the absolute cheapest place to buy domains, even if it's only by 5 cents, then complaining about lack of service or services.

Oh, another thing. The $35 is our retail price. We have much lower wholesale rates, we just don't advertise them on the site.
