Flash?

Does anyone who what percentage (approx.) of web surfers have flash installed? I would think that it is quite high (I'm usually wrong).

I hope there're 90% with 60% powerful PC to render complex flash with many effects ;)

Flash has been pre-installed since IE/ Netscape 4.0 versions. Last figure I read said that over 90% of surfers were able to view flash with no problem.


huythuy is right though, Flash really plays better on a faster computer. Some of these really good animations will look choppy, and dull on a 300mhz computer. These days its file size, and framerate that you have to keep an eye on.

I occasionally use my my friend's 166MHz machine, flash is pretty quick on that. I expect it's the setup. I did it :). Also, most of our connections in the UK are 56K or below. 'ISDN' if you have that in America is very expensive and DSL (ADSL here) has only recently been installed in some telephone exchanges. Rounded, 0% of people who want it have ADSL. Oh well...
