Over the past 6 months CPMs have been dropping dramatically, and many ad networks have lowered their pay rates to next to nothing. Flycast is one of those ad networks that dropped from around $5 cpm, to under $1, with a very low sell rate. Have any of you found better luck with sponsors?

It is possible that CPMs will never recover, and a good portion of internet revenues will come from CPC (cost per click) and CAP (cost per action). Right now I would suggest trying a few diferent CPM programs if you are having trouble getting a good rate, but also start looking at CPC, and CPA. Sites that have overlooked these forms of revenue may have trouble meeting their bottom lines in the future.

There is a little good news though. We are getting closer to the end of the year now, and large companies are notorious for unloading their budgets near the holiday season http://talkboard.123webmaster.com/ubbhtml/smile.gif We're in a good point in the calendar year to start looking for better opportunities.

I agree with you Jason, CPM rates become lower and lower , look like this is because of new ad networks (adflight, contentzone and etc) they pay websites about 1$ CPM and because there is more inventory
available to advertisers than ever before, creating an seasonal imbalance
between supply and demand. Sure, end of year will attract more advertisers , but i think cpm rates will not grow permanently. I think solution is internal sales force to sell inventory directly to advertisers.

Soon everyone will be missing out the middle man (ad company) and going straight to the advertisers
