I got a scanner by microtek this week, i went to install it i installed the CD went through the installation wizard.
i then hooked up the scanner to the USB port and electrical outlet.
when i hit the test scanner option its showing as 'no scanner available'
or i get 'scanner not found, check the connection'
well at this point ive cjecked the connections about a million friggin times. I've tried connecting it from both USB ports and ive continually made sure the connections were snug.
im currently downloading drivers from their site to make sure i have them.
but i was assuming that the drivers would have been on the installation CD.
my computer has a wizard system for installing scanners so i tried that way and it wouldnt work that way either, it gave me a message about missing hardware info.
as it stands now i have a $150.00 scanner sitting useless on my desk and its driving me to drink.
