as far as browsers having major issues with frames and iframes... are there any 'popular' browsers out there who seriously hate frames and iframes?

if there are, what would they prefer along those lines? div's with overflow hidden? i mean... how would you use overflow: hidden type divs to load a webpage or php?

Frames go way back to Navigator 3.
Iframes aren't supported by Navigator 4 (what is?!).

Trouble is, anything that doesn't support Iframes isn't going to support overflow:hidden.

Don't worry about supporting obscure browsers - the idiots that use them deserve what they get. You're better off devoting your time to the 95+% that'll be using IE.
