I need something better to handle newsletters..urgent

Ive used powerlist from solution scripts for some time. However today my list went from thousands... to 8..

Please reccomend something that can handle large numbers of subscribers.

Im also wanting to create another list where people are sent a conformation email and when they confirm I can insert affiliate tracking code so that affiliates can get paid per reffered subscriber.

Please help as I need to get something going very fast.
We do lots of signups every day and Im really losing while Im debating what to do...
