Hey all,
I'm Dave, just joined the HTML Forums yesterday. Looks like you've got a good thing going here :)
I'm a Programmer/Analyst at NPR, working on a project for digital audio delivery using IP over satellite. It's pretty exciting stuff, and I am having fun as the new guy (been here not quite one year) learning how things are done around here.
I started learning HTML mid '95 and got involved with JavaScript not too long after. I have several years' experience designing and building web-based applications in ColdFusion, as well as graphic and user interface design, so my skills are pretty well-rounded and I can do a little of everything from start to finish.
I wasn't paying attention and skipped the intro to post my first "help!" message in Client-Side Scripting. Essentially we are having two problems; one with forcing download of a file when a link is clicked, and one with Windows assigning a .mp3 file extension to downloaded .mp2 files. Hoping to pick someone's brain about both, since some searching on the net led me here.
Thanks in advance!
