Hey again, yes I'm starting two threads, I hope this is ok :)

I'm just wondering are there any reasonably priced email-only hosts around?

When I went looking for them it was cheaper to actually get webspace+email instead, I'm wondering is there a reason for this at all?

I saw a thread like this on another board a while ago but the response was just to get the webspace+email, but I was wondering if any of you have different opinion/experience regarding the matter :)

if you want to pay for your emails the go with the big guys, such as yahoo!!

Otherwise yes just get a hosting account and use the webspace as email space, that way you can use email clients (with paid yahoo you can too) but free email services don't all offer pop3 setup.

I didn't actually look into Yahoo! at all, though now I realise I should have.

I was actually considering getting a 10MB Hotmail account at one stage, but I didn't really like that idea very much (4 letter word starting with 's' and it's not a curse), even though I can POP to it. For what is really change a month I decided to just set something up myself and learn a bit about cpanels/etc (and also put up a terrible audio weblog :P)

Do you have any idea why there aren't any (or many) email-only hosts?
