Agora is lightest, as it is a perl script. Good in my view for tiny stores, not good for large scale stuff at all. osCommerce I find is the best option. It is php/Mysql and pretty easy to configure. Great for a lot of folks' needs. Interchange needs a specific server process, meaning there is an interchange process running in the backround. MySQL can be used by all not just osCommerce.
Most folks I know love osCommerce. A lot of people I know tend to get frustrated when they work with intechange, though some stick to it...
It really is a matter of preference. I strongly suggest osCommerce as it is the easiest to use in my view....

Hi - I built my first website using yahoo sitebuilder, which was easy to use for a newbie. Would like to move on to build a second website which needs
- shopping cart
- search....something which OsCommerce seems to be good at.
Is osCommerce easy to install and use, for a newbie?
i don't know how easy it is to use on the web but i know that i tried installing in on my local server beforehand and couldnt get it to work for me.....one of the things that bothered me with os was that it requires you run it with register_globals off...which is a security issue.....i ended up going with zencart.....zencart was created by people that were once with oscommerce and broke away to create their own opensource cart...lots of things are the same but there are more features ..downloadable products support that is easy to use is one example.....just my 2 cents :)

I am having a lot of problems with Os commerce, when I try to go to checkout_shipping.php, account.php, login.php, and create_account.php, I get the
"Page cannot be found error". Can anyone diagnose the problem?? Please!!!
