yeah not bad, still under construction i assume from the gaps and links that don't work.

I can't see the yellow text in the 'weekly top 10' section at all.

I always have links that change on hover, try to make it as obvious as possible which are links and which are not.

I also would not have chosen green, i think it clashes with the blue, although i am color blind so i see things slightly differently, and everyone has their own taste in colors, but all in all not bad :)

you need to run your code through the validator (http://validator.w3.org) to help you sort out misplaced tags etc, you've repeated your head, body and a few other tags, try and not use <font>, style your text with css, and in respect to loading time and SE spiders all those tables are gonna slow things down, see if while you're still in the process of designing try switching to css :)

w3schools (http://www.w3schools.com/css/default.asp) will help you out

I really like your layout. I think the colors look fine.
There is a black space between your logo and 'home'. Is there supposed to be a blue image to continue the color?

When i did a search the page came up with no images.
Maybe you can try putting the seach bar below your how/what categories and see if it looks better. To me it looks lop sided??
Your navigation - the 'home' and your Toolbar 'my hompage' will they lead back to the same spot?
Why have double links?

The ad's under weekly top 10. Maybe you should just put ads in the advertisement section only. Keep the distraction as low as possible.

Nice layout. :)

Good colours, quick loading time and easy navigation... add a doctype to your HTML documents: http://www.alistapart.com/stories/doctype/
Looking forward to seeing it when it's completed. :)

I like the layout, the eye flows around the site quite nicely taking you to the important parts first.

I would suggest making the main navigation links at the top more obvious that they are links - with underlining. Also the logo at the top left should link back to home aswell.

The table layout breaks when you make text larger - not a huge issue in itself, but thinking on an accessability track could prove a bit annoying to people with disabilites.

Which brings me on to the use of tables for layout - makes the site a bit slow to render in parts and will hamper your search engine rankings aswell as making it very difficult for a blind person using a screen reader to "read" your site correctly. I would recommend only using tables for the displaying of data and CSS for your layout - this will also have the advantage that you can change the layout/colors etc of the site from just one file and not hundreds of table and font tags (which are now deprecated and shouldn't be used).

Also because of the type of content that you will be hosting, think about making a printer stylesheet so that people can print the tutorials without having to click a link to a more printer friendly version.

One last thing

Overall its a nice design and with a few tweaks could be a nice site. I like that fact that you have spent time on a terms of use, privacy policy etc, goes a long way to boost credibility. I think the main flaw in your site is accessability and you should really address this, have a look on http://www.contentquality.com/ to see how your site does - then do a bit of research on WAI at the W3C site and posibly have a look at www.zeldman.com for good practices of accessable web design.

Good start though!

Yellow text? White background? Um... fix that. Of you want the text to stand out, I suggest red. It's easier to read.

It's... not bad. It's not so much the blue and green that clashes, but the "primary colour" look doesn't fit with the black background. That's too much contrast. Personal opinion, use a different background, but toning down the brightness of the blue and green would work, too.

You have a "back to top" link, but you haven't added the anchor for it.

And, maybe it's just me, but you could shorten the page considerably if you widened the table a bit. 86% isn't quite enough.

Also, some of your tags are duplicated. I saw 2 head tags for sure, and, I think, 2 body tags.

It's not bad, it just needs some work.

K, site review...

Nice layout. I liked the icons next to the different who or what categories a lot, nice clean graphics, very identifiable.

The green + black is hard on the eye, though. Maybe another shade of green or blue, or a neutral gray, for the background?

I got the same errors as Gregory, also in yellow text...

Good luck!
