*Phoned in order*

Recently un-employed "Secret Agent" with 12 years experience hired us to create a webpage to compliment resume.

Must be state of the art "original" graphic design and able too stand out from all the cloned-cookie cutter styles currently available.

Page navigation details must be unique while highlighting career exploits without disclosing matters that may jeopardize national security.

Page graphic layout size 800x600. (no screen shots) :(

No coding necessary - content details are sketchy (for all we know the client could be a cartoon figure)- graphic design only.

That is it folks, :rocker: simple as that just break the mold and create a winner.

All submissions are due on my desk no later than August 11, 2003 when I get back home from Harley trip to Sturgis. :verycool:

NO CODING:eek: !!!! THATS THE ONLY WAY I COULD WIN! DAMN!

oh well... maybe when we have a coding contest...

and it is hosted here in the Graphic Design & Clipart Forum

The theme this time around is design a website resume layout for a for a fictitious secret agent who is out of work and can't really disclose all the shady deals he/she participated in.

Want a coding contest, then you need to bug scoutt about that. :D

Question is, :arcade: would flash or animation fit within the rules of a graphic layout contest that Dr Web brought down with him from the mountain top.

I will run down the hall to the Mod' room and ask him :)

In the meantime what does everyone think about including flash or animations?

I don't think either one would fit, KW. I mean, if we can't use coded pages to get our idea across, why should we be allowed to use animation? Not everyone has Flash, either, or an animation programme.

But if animation is to be considered for the page, I don't see why a "note" can't be left on the screen to that effect.

A spypage, huh? Hmmm.... *lol* Well, I guess there is a use for "mystery meat" navigation after all.

I think that if we do allow any use of flash or animation in the futureit will be limited to navigation buttons.

We do not want to stray into coding since it is a graphic layout design.

<<Note: Check for keywords in the instructions ;)

I think you should add some content to the jpg, xxnfg618xx, that way it would be more oriented towards a retired spy...check out the other layout contests we've had here (you might have to show the threads from a while ago, we haven't done one in a while)

I'll have a submission, but just to let you know, I'm a bit hesitant after the whole space one never went anywhere...but it's not like I have all that much else to do with my time :)

it's not just a template design contest, or there would be no point in giving a subject to design about...this is more about creativiy then just putting blocks of texts in place on a background...although, I suppose if that's what you want to enter, you can :) I'm not the one holding the contest :)

...I really liked the self destruct warning on your peg lol :) Kate, the only text portion of the "site" that isn't "encoded" is a paraphrasing of the opening scene of the original "Mission: Impossible" television show. The "code" itself came from a Brian Jacques novel. Once you break the code, you'll find that I've done *exactly* as the instructions said. The navigation is dead simple.

*lol* Actually, what reminded me of that particular text was a conversation I had with a friend - about answering machines. You used to be able to get the premade out-going message tapes from Radio Shack and they had one with the "Mission: Impossible" greeting, much as I have on the page. My boyfriend at the time had a similar voice to that of the prerecorded announcement, so we recorded his voice first, saying "You have reached 922-1899" (or whatever my number was back then) and then the rest of the recording took over.

<sigh> Even my dad used to call me up when he knew I was working, just so that he could listen to the recording and fall over laughing. I had more "giggle-hang up" messages on my machine...
