This articles details how Macromedia (Dreamweaver, Director, Flash) and Allaire (Coldfusion, Jrun, Homesite) will merge. Among other interesting points of the article.....Flash has 96% web presence. That means that more people can view flash flicks, regardless of which borwser they use (4.0+) than can view JAVA applets and applications. Thats food for thought.

This would have been a good post for the World & Web Events forum (which hasn't taken off much yet). Interesting tidbit though, seems like all the big sites are networking together to survive now that the big VC days have come and gone. I'd expect to see quite a few more of these before year's end.

Hi John,

BR has taken a hit on the nose, like most others, which is why you now see pop-ups on most of the sites. However we're planning a team up of our own which should help us to continue doing the only thing that we know how to ;)

Yeah, this network has a better hold on the market than most. You coulkd assume that if you took a hit in the nose recently, that some of your competitiors got KO'd! The market has been rough lately. Though Macromedia and Allaire merging will be a good thing I think.
