I need my site to come up sooner on Yahoo.

The first 10-20 what? Search results? If so, for what keyword(s)?

And I can't get in to put up the keywords.
They got wiped out.

Before, they were "writing, music, books, bands, events, lessons, authors"

How do I get back in, and get the site up higher in the ranking this time?

The last two sites I did worked fine, this one is fighting back.

Yahoo is a hand indexed directory, not a standard search engine. There is not a place for keywords, they are drawn from your title, description, and URL.

If you are listed in Yahoo, and can find your site with keywords from your page, it means that you are probably listed in google (Yahoo uses google's database to supplement its own search).

So here's a dumb question.

When you do a search in Yahoo, the first thing that comes up are the Category Matches, then comes the Web Site matches, then comes the Web Page listings.

What's the difference? Does it have something to do with the paid listings? My site is listed in Yahoo, but it shows up in the Web Page listings only.

Hi Steve,

The "webpage listings" are usually what is pulled from google, when Yahoo doesn't have criteria to match your search.

As far as the paid listings, these are located in the business category. Yahoo doesn't like to consider them "paid listings" in the GoTo sense though (merely an opportunity to be listed in an express fashion), so it does not give them priority in it's listings over standard submissions.
