I would set up a mediakit for the site, in it include:

daily page views
monthly page views
which countries visit your site
unique visitors
return visitors
personal contact details (number they can get hold of you on, I would want to talk to some one before I hand any money out)

If people are going to pay money then they want to know what you have to offer them for their money!

IMO you need to be getting more than 1000 hits a days to be able to ask for paid ads on your site.

You need to clean your site up a little before you can attract any business, I would take away the hit counter, you never see it on any buiness sites, makes it look like a vanity page.. all your worried about is how many people have been to your site, also I know how many times I have been to your site, I dont really need to be told.

Also you need to sort out the flash links, I would personaly not use flash links, they get in the way of a search engine spider, a simple text link would do just as well. But the flash links need to be redone, as only the letters are links, you need the whole box to be the link.

If you cant offer at least 1,000 hits a day then you need another way of attracting those paying ads. PR from Google might be another way, but your site doesnt have any at present.

Another point is that it doesnt look as if the site is complete, if I look at the MLB section, it only has 6 words there, to get people coming to your site you need to have information for them to read, your site is lacking a little at the moment!

That is all meant as constructive critism, not taking a pop at you :) Your on the right track you just need to fine tune the site :)

Have a read of this thread from another site, I use and I swear by, I know a few others who do as well:

yup, and minne, to clarify when people use the term 'hits' it means unique ip's and not file requests :)

Couldn't agree more. I see too many people trying to get revenue before traffic and traffic before content and content before design... i could go on.
