I was wondering if any web authoring softwares like Dreamweaver or Front Page can make frames. If so, which ones and which do you think is better? Thanks=)

Well I have neither Frontpage or Dreamweaver, so I wouldn't know.
But I would think you would be better of using HTML for frames, and you can get a great tutorial at: http://www.htmlclinic.com/frames.php

I never used Dreamweaver enough but I'm quite sure it will make framed web pages. FrontPage will make framed pages. Click on FILE>>NEW>>PAGES then you will see a tab marked FRAMES in the NEW window.

Sorry, didn't answer all of your question..... I believe that Dreamweaver is better than Frontpage especially if publishing for the internet where you need to support multiple browsers and versions. If publishing to an intranet and you know everyone will be using IE FrontPage is fine.

Hi!

I highly support FrontPage to create web pages in frames - it is very easy to control them play. On the other hand I never used Dreamweaver Can't say anything about it.

It is upto you, try both of them, i suggest and decide yourself according to your requirements.

ok-since you asked.........
I will advise to not use frontpage OR dreamweaver to write your pages, and certantly not in frames. But if you decide to anyway, I would skip frontpage, and dreamweaver is good at basic layouts and all.
I looked at your site layout before, and you are using....like 5 frames on one page. There are alternatives to using so many frames. I would look at those BEFORE you resort to something like frontpage (danger, DANGER!!!).
I have lot o' experience with dreamweaver..and yes I have made frames with it. I have not used frontpage, but have fixed more than my share of errors caused by it.
I have rewrote the frames, and framesets created by both editors.
Why do I keep nagging about not using frames? Because few and far between, frames are a good idea. People always seem to interpret that sentence..."YES, its MY page that frames are good for!!!"
That's not what I said. Frames have a way of ruining web pages before they are even viewed, when there are good ways to achieve layout concepts without "framing you page."

Sure. MS software is bad but not that bad.
Press on the "New Page" button and click on the "Frames Page" tab. Select the type you want and click "OK" and voila! I would much prefer Macromedia Dreamweaver to MS Frontpage when used to create pages.
