Free Ezines and lists?

Hi there!
Does anyone know of any ezines or mailing lists or e-mail databases whereby the members/subscribers choose to receive them?(that is, people who volunteer to view specific kinds of ads that might appeal to them willingly)

Most folks would run from any opt in lists that end up deluging you with spam. :barf:

Dont set up a mailing list to just send out adverts, people will never sign up that way :)

You need to give them quality information that they need, or current news. Then inbetween every 4 or 5 large paragraphs put in an advert. This way you should get at least 2 or 3 adverts in. :D

I know...but I remember hearing/seeing from somewhere that there are lists whereby you put up your products for advertising, and people choose to receive these lists because the products are of interest to them.

Something like the way you choose to receive car catalogs if you're a car fan. :D
