Where would you like to submit your site to? There are many directories, some have paid listings, some have free listings, some charge per click, some places will submit your site for you. Did you have somethign specific in mind?

Check out the URL submisison category of 123webmaster.com It's a good place to start. It lists the major directories and search engines. There are also some FFA pages, and submission. Use as many as you can, but don't use any of the pay services that submission sites offer, it's just not worth it.

mofromofro,

You didn't post the URL of your site, anyhow, for a review please post your request in a new topic in the Overall Review forum, and request your review there.

Wow...while I was typing my reply, Jason moved the topic and it got sent into nowhere.:D

Anyway, all the engines? There are thousands of them out there, but I would stick with the top 25 or 30. You will get more (and better quality) traffic from sites like Yahoo (if you get in) and MSN than you would Joe Q Search engine.

There are programs out there like Web Position Gold that guarantee you a top 10 placement, but if there happens to be 20 sites using it focusing on the same keywords and categories, how can they all be top 10's?

I would submit by hand to the top ones because some have pretty extensive guidelines for submitting, and if these programs that do it for you don't know them, or if they have changed, it's a useless submission.

Good luck!

I didn't move no reply! I did close the thread in the Web Tools category. I don't move too many threads around anymore because vbulletin doesn't leave a closed copy of the message in the original place like the ubb did. Hopefully this will be corrected when we upgrade to vb2 within a month, although I haven't checked to see if this feature has been added yet.
