Does anybody know of what tool is used to create the text that http://www.viewimages.com/ use on there pics to protect them from being stolen

That effect can be accomplished using Paint Shop Pro, Photoshop, or anything similar. You can use the inner bevel effect on a font, or a plug in such as EyeCandy.

If you don't want your pics taken don't post them, that's the best solution.
You can create an ugly copyright across your picture with about any graphics program.
You can use java and frames to help stop people from right clicking and saving the image.
You can do lots of things to deter people but if someone really wants it they're going to get it.
The little text in the corner is as easy to remove with a graphics program as it was for them to put it on.
