Want to become part of my new web site?

I am looking for someone to help me with my new web site. It's nat actually a web site yet but it will be soon.

It is going to be a website for unsigned music artists to submit info on there band and some songs and then we try to get them a bigger fan base (i.e. post their music on our web site for people to download, get them a site on mp3.com, build them there own web site, etc.) we do all this for free just for the love of the music.

you dont need JAVA most likely. Maybe some JavaScript. Some compression utilities....to make clips MP3's. Maybe someone with director/ realplayer experience...to make video clips. Finally maybe someone with some flash experience to make some animation...as they are popular with music/ movie sites. I have experience doing those things. Whats the timeline? Have any bands lined up yet? Do you have a server/ domain name registered yet?

a reflection of other noteable sites like what you are wanting to create are great, i do strongly suggest the creation and grouping of what bands play what type of music in a more clear matter than the other sites. A good lawyer is also in need with a well writen disclaimer statement. If you need suggestions or script help just keep asking in forums like these or join the [javascript weenie] mailing list.

I think your idea is great! I can design and code, author via Director and Flash, and am always looking to expand into other areas of website development, so maybe I'll be a fit for your project.
