I have been searching for on-line accounting software for a freelancer web site but so far have come up with nada. I use Quick books at present and it has an on-line section for website transactions but it is very minimal and does not suit my purposes.

I am looking for something that is completely web based (and very secure) so that the freelancers can send me invoices and I can pay them and my clients can send me receipts and money. It must also be able to keep track of membership payments and automatically send out an invoice to the members at the appropriate time.

Am I ahead of my time with this? I have a feeling it may have to be developed from scratch. Does anyone know of such a thing. Any help at all would be appreciated.

How about...

Quickbooks Pro
Simply Accounting
White Plains (I think MS bought them)
Peachtree
Netledger

.... or my virtual assistant http://ttva.com

It sounds like an elance.com clone. I am not sure how many off the shelf products can do this, but if you have a budget of at least a few hundred dollars, I would post an actual job at elance describing that you need a clone of the elance system to perform all functions execpt for the bidding system.
