Hi everyone. I think this is a great site and I'm glad it's here. How does this review thing work? Because I want in. My site is http://www.internetben.com and I want to know how it looks on other computers and systems. We're just judging appearance. Who wants me to review their site?

look good in both NN4.7 and IE 5, 5.5 although I do notice some extra space on the right side of my screen...(1200x900)
so it looks like you designed it for a specific screen size, maybe 800x600. Some of your table widths aren't set, so that may be the factor here. Good job!

Bingo. It is 800x600. But that's one honking resolution setting you go there. You must have great eyes. :)

I hope the blank space doesn't turn off too many visitors who have high-res settings. I don't think that fluid design would be very conducive to this site.

Thanks for the feedback.

Technically it is solid. Good job on slicing the graphic and reassembling it with table code for a nice effect.

The color palette is too bright for my taste, but that's a personal opinion. The use of the bright colors, the various shapes and lines, the size and style of the font in the title graphic all combine to give the page a playful appearance.

Its a little disjointed looking though, maybe that's what you were trying for? A little off-balance.... the elements don't seem like an integrated unit, sorta eclectic, like you found a piece here and a piece there and fit them all together. Like my living room furniture :)

Looks good in IE5 and N6. Obviously designed for best viewing at 800 x 600, thats OK.

The background image in the big blue table serves well to break up what would be a flat space otherwise.

It might wear thin on the eyes after repeated viewing though. The content seems directed towards adults, so the splashy colors and variety of shapes might not be appealing after a while. I maybe would go with the design for the homepage but keep the content pages a little more toned down.

Overall it is well done.

Kevin

actually its not the resolution which is cranked up, but rather the screen is large. I have 1024X768 pixel area, which is why I can see lots of extra space, not like when you have 800X600 and you set your res higher and everything becomes really tiny. Everything is still large and crisp, just a larger monitor.

i agree with kevin, it's abit too colorful, and the design of the site doesn't really merge together. the logo and the green part looks playful while the rest looks more "serious". the font snap_itc doesn't really look good when they are small, it makes them slightly hard to read, so maybe use another font or make them larger(i am talking abt the eAuction brokering and online publishing).
