No a bad site. Cut down on text and put a shopping cart there. Alphabetically list or categorise the gift list.

Hi Charlotte,
If this is your first attempt it is pretty good. You have avoided some beginner mistakes like: adding to much frivolous animation, guady backgrounds, really large font sizes, too many different font faces and font colors, too many fancy dividers.
I'm not sure what your website is for, to sell knick-knacks, or tell your story to the world or a little of both. I don't find the combination a good fit. But you do what you think best in that regards.
That subject aside, I would use a smaller font size to reduce the amount of scrolling required to read some of your long pages.
Maybe increase the width of the left frame just enough to get the links on one line and use single spacing between links. You might be able to get all the links on one screen, then you could use scrolling=auto in the left frame and if no scroll bar is needed it will not display one, which will make the pages look nicer. Experiment with it anyway. If you don't like the results keep it as is.
It's easy enough to navigate around on the website so thats good. Easy to read the content, but some pages seem to scroll on and on. Folks don't like that. Make some of the pages shorter.
Center alignment of many of the pages does not look good. Typical beginner style, to center all the content. You'll learn to present long pages of mainly text in a more interesting way as you progress.
Overall, its a good if not too creative or visually stimulating website. Work on the presentation more.

Kevin

Like Kevin said, if this is your first attempt this is very good.
Only problem is the links in the left hand frame, some of your more stupid visitors (like myself) may be confused.

I must agree with Kevin and Dave. Not a bad job for a first try.
On a personal note as to content- Put your best foot forward, Your Product. Maybe a graphic with one of the dolls or something that let's people know that you are really in buisness right from the start. It took me way too long to find the products, and they are good products. Also, although everyone is sympathetic to peoples problems, it will not encourage sales (do you buy watches from the hard luck story on the corner?) Web sales are hard enough to accomplish and professionalism is a must! If people are confident of a merchant they will buy there. I am left wondering if you will still be in business to send me my product if I buy.

You really do have some great products at some great prices. What you really need is a nice logo graphic. The other thing is that you should put back buttons on the preview pages. There are a few people out there who haven't figured out how to use the back button on their browsers or the right click on their mouse, so make it simple for them and give them a clickable link back to the page they came from. Also, from the preview page, people might say, "Hey! I like this!" and want to add it to their 'shopping cart' if you know how to script that, or can find it on the internet, it will make it easier for them to do the impulse purchase---which of course you want them to do! LOL
