Hey-I am not any kind of expert but overall I like the site. I think I would like it, personally, more if the banner was NOT at the top but the bottom-it is the first thing I saw and it is in stark contrast to the page. I guess I am not big on the "fuzzy" look but I think you use it effectively.

I would make the menu bars (on the left) a bit large with maybe a bit of space.

conclusion: I would put the banner at the bottom and let your work be the first thing that is shown-unless I am missing the point with the banner!

Cool name and domain :)

It may be a little too graphical though, I'm sure it would take quite a while to load on a 28.8 or 56k connection.

Just fill the site up and I'm sure it will work out great.

Excellent design! When more content gets added, it will add to a great looking site.

I'm using a 56k connection and it only took about 15 to 20 seconds to load.

Ok, I took what you guys said and fixed the logo, made the layout less graphical by implementing tables for the images, and did some other revisions. How's it now?

I did not see the original design so it's all fresh to me.

First impression...looks good. Domain name is a good one (even if I don't know what gamecube is, which I don't).

Logo looks OK to me. The shades of gray and the tan shades of the logo graphic go well together.

The variuos shades of gray provide good contrast and help to seperate different areas of the home page. The mouse over effects are nicely handled. I like the little arrow to the left of a link when the mouse goes over it, I use that exact effect myself on links where the text is small.

The large banners in the middle of the page (especially against the white background) is distracting to me. And it says ERROR between the top and bottom banner when I looked.

The overall width could be shrunk down a little so there is no horizontal scrollbar when viewed at 800 x 600 resolution. It's not a big deal but I find that a minor irritation.

Can't review site navigation or overall design as there is only a homepage so far.

I would not place the banners right smack in the middle of the home page myself, and the amount of links to sponsors and advertisments and affiliates, might cause visitors to click out of your website before ever viewing any content. I would make the links to the site content more noticeable and downplay the links that take visitors out of the website, unless that is the whole idea. I'm not sure if you can "copyright forever" but what the heck, sounds good to me...:^)

Regards,
Kevin

I am looking at your sit in 1200x900 screen, and at this size, there is an auful lot of extra space hanging around....
also....I ran a report using allaire coldfusion on your page, here are your stats.....

file size in kb Download time in seconds

html 23.22k 14.4kps =70.8
gif+JPG 90.08k 28.8kps =35.4
total 113.31k 56k =17.7

looks like your page is waaaaay large, recommended standard is a load time of no greater than 10sec at 56k.....at 90k for the graphics...you are asking a lot of visiotrs to wait a long time for the content.
