I thought your site was very impressive and had the makings of a great portal. I did, however, notice a few things that could use changin in my opinion. First off, I thought that the title didn't do the rest of the page justice. Maybe you could change the title to something like 747SP.com and have a description of what the site was about for those of us who aren't aviation enthusiats. Making the title the same font as the rest of the headers would make it look better, too. I thought it would have looked better if it was centered in the page. Maybe you could have gray bars on either side instead of just the left one. My last suggestion is a small one - the main content of the page (the headlines, past poles, puzzles, etc.) seemed a little sloppy to me. Cleaning them up would greatly improve the overrall feel of the site. But all in all, I thought your site was well thought out, well presented and had loads of great content - defintely something I would frequent if interested in aviation.

Thank you "Kid",

I really appreciate you taking the time to review my site.

I've read you comments and will most likely act upon them. The title to start with. I've had my ideas on improvement, but never changed it. Now I will make a new title and include your opinions in the making.

Same goes for the main content area. New ideas popped up when I read your comments and new layout will be implemented shortly.

Again, many thanks for taking the time!
All the best,

Overall I like the look of this page.

The only major complaint would be that there is a huge grey space on the right-hand side (on my browser at least).

I like the way the sections of links are arranged and i think it is very neat and tidy. :)

Great layout, awesome content. I don't consider myself an "aviation lover", but this site would be really great for someone who is.

Great Job!

Hi,

The large gray area on the right is intentional, makes the page look a bit like a newspaper....
Also gives the page the same look regardless of screen resulution.

I've re-arranged some of the headlines.
Maybe this looks better ?

Please have a look and give me your comments!

All the best,

just some things u might consider:

-grey right side doesnt work well, maybe with small amount of grey on the left side would work better
-logos at the top: i would remove the animated one and improve the static one - needs some antialiasing (talking about www.747sp.com (http://www.747sp.com) logo)
-remove the web poll or change the 'which browser do u use' question into something like: which plane is the best ;)

I don't like the flush left myself. I prefer centering for easy readability. I look at the page and wonder what might be farther to the left of the menu columns. If you want it to look like a newspaper, use a newspaper kind of background.

Condense your content into the links you have setup. There is a lot of info on the page that might help reduce load time if that info was moved to categories like TECHNICAL, HUMOR, etc. The longer a page takes to load, the less likely a user will stick around to read it, and some search engines penalize for long load times.

Put your ICQ stuff and email all under one link instead of in the many parts of the page. Again, load time would be a consideration, as well as readability.
