View Full Version : Can you convert cgi scripts into java scripts??

My webhost doesnt let me use cgi and there is a cgi script that i really want to use. It's called newspro and will be essential to my site. Can i convert the cgi script into something else so it will work on my website??? If anyone can i'll send you the file (and i will give you credit on my website.

ummmmm NO...
while there are some (few) similarities JS is a client side language...that get some code from the server and can process it in your browser for your personal viewing.

while cgi/perl is derived from the server.

try I think:
cgicity.com a cgi host...

or hypermart

It is a script that you can put on your webpage that shows latest news (Or whatever) and can be updated while you're online. Here's the url if i didn't explain it properly: http://amphibian.gagames.com/newspro/

BTW if there is such a java script, what category would it be in?
