I am a total novice who is attempting to set up a web site with some pages that are password protected.
I am probably going about this all wrong, but I have signed up for a redirect shortened url so that the real URL address of the page does not show up in the browser window (at the top). I than signed up for a drop down menu for additional pages that follow the password protected pages - but the addresses of those pages showed up at the bottom of the window in the status bar. I found a java script that fixes this problem by showing the words "members only" in the status box instead of the web address.
So I thought in my crude way I had accomplished what I was trying to do until I printed out the main "protected" page and found the real URL address of the page included on the page that I had just printed out.
Help, what can I do? Most password protection programs that I have tried (been able to figure out) only protect one page and after that the balance of the pages are not protected.
How can I hide the addresses of the pages that are supposed to be "protected"?
