Hi,

I am trying to find the site that shows the original sites and the copies/theft.
A friend of mine is dealing with site theft and would like to have an idea of how to deal with the thieves.
I thought that it would be interesting to tell her to send the thief's site to be listed.
Any more resources on how to deal with site theft?

Thanks,

FayeC

Try contacting the site's web host or ISP. If you do not know what it is, try using a whois lookup of their domain name such as: http://netsol.com/cgi-bin/whois/whois

When you contact their host, be sure to let them know that you hold a copyright of the material being used (all that is needed to hold a copyright is the copyright symbol on your page with your name next to it). Most hosts are usually cooperative if you write them a calm, rational letter explaining the situation. Sometimes the host will require a reminder of their own TOS however.
