Well the UBB was written by Infopop (http://www.infopop.com). This version is free for non-comercial use.
Another forum that is very big right now is is vBulletin (http://www.vbullietin.com). You may want to check those out.

Hey.
123Webmaster uses the paid version of the UBB, but I think that the free version is pretty good too.
I'd be glad to help you find and setup a board if you would like. It's really no that hard. Let me know if I can help. :)

Another board that's free and has a very good following is: http://www.discusware.com/discus/
You can easily customize it using skins. I just set it up at http://www.wii-fm.com/discus (http://www.wii-fm/discus)

And it is so easy to use no wonder it is number one. just playing about the number one thing. and it has no ads. and it is mainly for advanced people. it starts off with a template but you can change it to a layout or something. well i gotta go for sure. this is the second note of the one of mine. peace
