i want to make a search engine for contents of my own site search.I want all the information about how it works and does it use database?
it searches th' meta tag or someother

if you want to put a search box on your site where people can search the contents of your site, an alternative option to creating your own is to go to one of the many sites offering this service.

i can highly recommend http://atomz.com
their service is easy to use, there are no banner ads and it is free for sites with less than 500 pages. they offer a paid service for larger sites. no technical knowledge is required - you just fill out a few forms.
