Please post your link. The price you should charge depends on the quality, and targeting of your site. PLease also post your daily unique vistors, and pageviews.

well, it's www.michijobs.com (http://www.michijobs.com)
The site is not done yet. I haven't submited to the search engines yet, so i don't have any visitors. But I did send an email to the Army a few days ago asking if they would be interested in advertising, They called me today and left a message on my machine for me to call them back. I think they're interested.....

The site itself looks pretty good, and there is definately a valuabe targeting with the content, the problem is that you have no visitors to target. Ad campaigns usually run on a CPM (cost per thousand views) CPC (cost per click) or CPA (cost per action) basis. If you have no visitors, then none of these things can be achieved. I would suggest that you put your first efforts into promotion. Maybe ever use your advertising space to barter with other sites to start getting some traffic. If submitting to search engines is your primary promotion focus, then you will be left very dissapointet.

However when you do manage to get some traffic flowing, you might try charging $10 CPM for your top banner, and $5 CPM for your side ads.

We will mostly be doing local advertising through newspaper, local websites, and small billboard type ads....
This should get us through for awhile until the search engines start picking us up.
From doing my research, most "job-sites" are charging employers between $100-$195 to post a 30 day want-ad... So the way I see it, If an employer, army, etc. wanted to have a banner on my homepage, that it should cost about that for a 30 day ad..
