is there any free software out there capable of converting wav or mp3 files to rm or rpm.
would the rpm file be smaller them a wav file? (quicker download) i have a song which the author has given me permission to put on my web site, but it has voice, and midi will not due. http://devoted.to/geneology

You can obtain the basic version of RealProducer free from www.real.com (http://www.real.com) and then use it to convert .wav files to RealAudio format (an easy process). And yes, .rm files are much smaller than .wav files.

the real.com site is kinda hard to get around (if you're looking for the basic software)
try www.realnetworks.com
and go throught the 'compare products' bit....
rm files are definitly the way to go, in my opinion...
for quality and speed, they win hands down...
