Graphics with text

I have a problem when I export images that have text... the text gets distorted just from exporting.

Are these images you are creating on your desktop? What software package are you using? Please provide as much information about what you are doing as possible.

I use Photo Shop and Illustrator. The images contain text and look great until they are exported to a gif file.... Jpegs come out better but they are such big files....Thanks for any help... Terry

Sounds like you are using fancy fonts or gradients, gif format will sometimes not render those effects well because of the GIF file format limitations. Usually JPG files should not be bigger than GIF files, depends on the style of graphic. Have you tried using more JPG compression to lower the file size? JPG sometimes does not render text well, depends on the colors used and the font styles.
