Image nav menu problems

I've got a site, pretty lacking right now, and pretty jacked up, but I want to get a title image like Webmonkey.com (http://Webmonkey.com) has. I can't figger out how to make the imagebar resize itself. Somebody please help.

Ah, my page is located at jmichaelk.com (http://jmichaelk.com) , and right now I know I have the wrong layout for what I'm trying to do, but go there and it'll give you an idea of what I'm saying.

Not sure what you mean by the image bar resizing itself. I'll take a shot though. Images do not resize. Your image at the top is 1,000 pixels wide. Make it less wide or move the links to a different position on the webpage.

Y'know, I feel really stupid now.

Then again, I should.
Although that's only a temporary thing (the image being 1000 pixels wide) until I actually know how to make a bar that has blank ends that are cut off to accommodate the window size. Thanks for the help, though. I'm about to jack some things around, make my site have a point, make a million, become king of the world, etc...
