i created a fully linked, url popup in golive and it works great. the problem is, I want to use a gif file as the item that you click on to cause the dropdown to occur. is this something i can do?

Lisa,
Not sure if I fully understand your question but, it seems like it should be possible. Just hyper link an image file and try it. If you don't know how to hyper link an image it is done like so:
<a href=http://url to link to here><img src=http://url of imge file here></a>

Actually, I think she'll need the target="_blank" attribute, and a text link to the image.
<a href="http://www.domain.com/image.gif" target="_blank">This is my Gif</a>

Jason,
I interpret the question differently than you, but the question is worded vaguely enough that we could both be wrong... http://209.61.189.12/~webm/htmlforums/ubbhtml/wink.gif
