I wish to play background music on my site and I was therefore woundering what program I need, how it's done and if it is complicated. ( I use Dreamweaver 3 )

If you are wanting to use midi's you can read this tutorial on putting them in your page. http://www.123webmaster.com/Tutorials/EmbeddingMidi.html
you might also want to check out the midi related script section at A1 JavaScripts ( http://www.a1javascripts.com/midi_related/ ) for pre-made scripts that you can just copy and paste into your page.
