embedding audio files

hi, i need to add an audio file to my website. i have a (from REAL producer) rm. file that i need to loop whenever someones on that page. but it plays only one time?

- also how can i convert a rm. clip to wav. or rmp. ?

please help

There is a tutorial you may find useful on embedding real audio files here. http://homes.arealcity.com/themanor/tutorials/realaudio.html
it also explains looping and auto start, .rm, .ram, and .rpm files, as for converting a .rm file back to a wav file I'm not sure if it can as you normally begin with a wav file, however you may be able to find more info at real.com or find and download a sound editor or utility that may allow it.

Hi Ian, I checked u're URL, it was pretty helpful- I can change wav. to rm. now http://talkboard.123webmaster.com/ubbhtml/smile.gif

but there is one problem, when i change to rm. it leaves a space after the music.

see the wav. clip is only 10sec's but when i convert it to rm. using real producer it takes 12 sec's. that means it plays the song for 10 sec's and the other 2 secs. is without sound.

but since i want to loop this clip, i dont that break there. i tried to convert it couple of times,, but it always leaves a couple of seconds in the end of hte clip with no sound.

do u know anyway i can convert it- the same amount- wav 10 seconds to rm. 10 sec's ?

As it is only a 10 second wav file, I guess its not very big, can you put it onloine somewhere and tell me the url so I can download it or you can email it to me direct and I will have a go at sorting it out for you. Thanks.

Hi Ian heres the url to check out the clip.(a new clip that i made)
i dont want that break in the middle when looping.

the rm. clip is 22.9 sec.'s while the original(wav.clip) is 21.59 secs.

Hi,
I went to see your example, you cant directly embed a rm file, you must make a rpm (embed) or a ram (spawn external player) linking to your rm file. Just open notepad and enter the full url to the rm file and save it as ram or rpm depending what you want to do, upload it to your site and link to it. I did manage to look at your source code and download your example and see the 1 second gap at the end, however I need the original wave file to create another of the correct lengh, if you could email that to me it would be great thanks and I will sort it out as well as the coding for embedding it for you.
