View Full Version : Help
Okay this is my site: http://www.wrestlesages.com it's a forum site for wrestling fans. What I need is a copyright statement for my site, a privacy policy, Terms of Use and a user agreement. Can anyone from good good heart write them for me please? I have NO idea what goes in legal stuff.

the best way is to reference other web site's legal statements, that's how I do this kinds of stuff for myweb site... I reference yahoo.com!'s service and use their term of service, private policy, and some others to write my own...
because you are the one that knows your web site well, so it's better for your to write these for your web site
hope this helps!
lol, I tried that, but though to myself.... are the copyright statements...copyrighted? are they?

good question!
no I don't think they are copyrighted! There is no way to copyright everything in the world, for example if someone copyright the word "one" then does it mean that we have to give that person $1 when we use the word "one"???
so I believe that the copyright statements isn't copyright, the way I did it is that I copy the private policy and TOS from yahoo.com and I MODIFY it and make it doesn't look like I reference from yahoo.com!
hope this helps!

there's a link on c|net's builder.com with all sorts of generic legal documents you can use here (http://builder.cnet.com/webbuilding/0-3885-8-4500031-1.html).
and here (http://downloads-zdnet.com.com/3000-2073-2035932.html?tag=lst-0-7) is some software to kick around. i have never tried it.
