web design license

lets say i want to start a web design company made up of about 5 webmasters. would i need any special license or anything to start this? or could i just start it?

Not necessarily a license, however it might be a good idea to have a contract between the 5 of you to form an official partnership to declare all of your responsibilities, duties, and benefits (whether it be a share of what is earned or a specific dollar amount). You will also have to report your earnings with the rest of your April taxes. If things pick up eventually, it might not be a bad to call the township of which you work in, as they might require payment of a small local tax for doing business in their town.
