I was browsing through a site and happened to see an article about a virus that is roaming through PHP-Nuke files. If this is true then a lot of webmasters are in trouble.

have any proof? php-nuke files are only php files, so the virus could get executed.

I havent got a link but i can remember some info.

Apparently this virus will only work on files that CHMODed to 666 or 777. Which in PHP-Nuke's case is every file and directory. The virus will then execute it's self when the file it's located in is opened. The virus will hack the database then send it back to the hacker. So this is effectivly spyware.

Same here scoutt. I don't believe this theory. If they were a virus it would have been on the official PHP-Nuke site.
