ok, I know that it's not so good to make a Subject heading like that, but I am REALLY getting upset :(

I need some help! REAL help!

I have recieved 275,736,883 SPAM emails in the last 18 months and I've signed up for 275,736,884 of them!

It has cost me THOUSANDS of dollars!

Everyone is an "expert marketer". I mean everyone! ..problem is, everything I sign up for did >>ME<< NO GOOD!

Now, I know that there are people around here that "know what's going on". *wink wink* *nudge nudge* say no more! If you get what I mean..

Please, if you REALLY do know how to market. If you REALLY do know how to make a product sell, and if you can PROVE it.. ie: not make a flouro green page with a screenshot of some pretend check with $635,837,993.95 on it and flashy flouro/aqua blue text under it saying "I made this last week" I'm 15 and I left school when I was 3 !!!!!!!!

ARGH!!!!! Ok, *I'm taking deep breaths"..

This is what I want..

I want YOU (if you "know what you're doing") to contact ME! I have many products and services, but I can't get anyone to BUY THEM!!! :( :( :(

I will give you what ever you want. Show me at least the SMALLEST result, and I'll send you a weekly check! *HONEST*

I am getting so fed up!

Can someone help me, before I... i..

..well, can someone just help me???

Welcome back Mr Len :). Unfortunately, there are lots of scams out on the web, all offering some sort of miracle promotion "get 500,000 hits and 1,000,000 banner impressions every hour for the next month" and "send out your email ad to 6 trillion addresses per second for the next year". While these are obvious exaggerations, the real ones are worded similarly. The surprising part is that some of them will do exactly what they say, and give you a large number of hits. However the disappointment is where the hits are coming from. Often they will use 404 pages from free webhosts that had members who were suspended for TOS violations, or it is just outright spam. Now if you think about it, are visitors that were trying to access their favorite nude jello wrestling site which was deleted off a free host really going to have an interest in staying at your site to buy a toaster?

Ad campaigns need to be chosen carefully, targeted keywords on a site like overture or about.com might work well, and you control the click price as well as your budget.

Another problem might be with your offer itself. What are you selling? How are you selling it? Is it a better deal then they can get elsewhere? Is it clear and obvious that it is a better deal? DO you have a FAQ or provide information to cautious consumers? Does your site look trustworthy? These are all factors that users may take into consideration before deciding on a purchase.

If you have any specific questions about any of this, feel free to leave a post. I might not have all the answers, but I do know what questions to ask :)

Make a product sell or sell a service that is only for generating revenue? Those chain letters you sell with a few lines of advice on them are a pyramid scheme that is barely legal and few people are stupid enough to send the cash to the person at the top of the list. I don't know if that is what you are trying to sell or something similar, but none of them work regardless of the hype (lies lies lies) you read in them, if you sent money you were suckered.

If none of this applies to you then just ignore me ;)

That was a fun way to put it. They may have turned their
back on you but you still got your sence of humor :)

I agree with Jason. Most internet market service is not
to be trusted in any way. Spamming is the worst case to
market your products, as first impression always counts
and spamming in most cases are always seen as annoying.

The basic attitude today when it comes to news is like,
"Hey man... if I want your news I'll ask for it".

However try and look up some free news services that are
interested in your line of products. News providers make
their living on news. They are usually well visited, and
the people they link back to your site are in fact people
that are interested in your products. This is the best way
to market your self on the internet and the most effective.
The best way is also a free way, the only thing for you
to do is to write your news announcment and locate news
services that publish newsfeeds related to your subject.

Spamming and Banners was yesterdays news. How would you
like your news delivered? Your future customers wants it
the same way ;) Nothing annoying, simple and answering all
my questions (nearly).

Sometimes we get to busy of thinking how others has done
things in the past, that we forget how we ourselfs would
like it to be done in the future.

Break that evil circle and try something new. Write your
news announcemets on 500 bricks and throw them through every
window in your neighborhood :) You probably will get a lot
of feedback but how positive it will be I cant guarantee:)

Seriously there is nothing like a new way of thinking
and breaking that circle that millons of others has been
using for the last century.

Try the announcements and see if this wont help you.
Good luck!

This is the first question that popped into my mind, too - would you clue us in a bit? Do you have any links we can see?

I'm so sorry to hear you've been ripped - I always depend on that old saying, "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is", but I can also understand the temptations. I almost got myself into some scratch-off scam when I was first online. Luckily the price was so darned high I simply didn't have it. Two months later they were off the 'net!

You just have to be so careful and really do your homework with these offers, although I would suggest maybe you should pick one you deem the most feasible, or sellable, and focus on it and see if you cannot get back some of what you've lost, at least.

These guys/gals in here know the ins and outs of the 'net better than I, but I couldn't help tossing in my 2-cents. Plus, I'm really super curious what you're selling! :)

Now, I know a lot about health and stress is a poisen - take those suggested deep breaths, clear your mind, walk away from it if you have to -for a little while anyway, and when you feel you can remain calm and think clearly again, maybe you could start an entirely new game plan - and please, block your spam!!!!! ;)
