Microsoft released another cumulative patch for Internet Explorer
yesterday, which promises to plug up six recently discovered
security defects involving the browser.

The patch, for IE 5.01, 5.5 and 6.0, includes the functionality of
previously released fixes, as well as tackling the new problems - the
most serious of which could allow an attacker to run code of his
choice on a victim's machine. Microsoft describes the patch as
'critical'

yet another reason to do a semi-annual reload of a system that is on the net. i had a virus like this infect my system around 1 month ago, but the latest update from antivirus companies still didnt help... finally i traced it back to IE6, uninstalled it, and am no longer having problems.

i'm seeing ANY and ALL computer software companies sometimes holding off on proper fixes to leave the people wanting more. it is a business, and sometimes to survive you have to play the role of trickery.

at one time i remember viewing a report that stated in order for anti virus companies to stay in business, they have virus creators on a payroll off record.

it's all for the $$$

money= paper or numbers on paper

actually Chris that is correct. I read that as well. besides the virus writers MS has people over seas and all there job is is to hack windows and software that MS produces. what a job don't you say...
