The bug is found in versions of Mozilla from 0.9.7 to 0.9.9 on various operating system platforms, and in Netscape versions 6.1 and higher
not that anybody likes NS, but thought it should be shared.

Good thing I don't have anything past NS4.76, then. *g* I don't often use it, but NS6 crashed my computer, so I didn't bother to upgrade. <shrug> It happens.
How do you find out what version of Mozilla you have, Scoutt? I can't seem to find out.

I've checked, Scoutt, but no luck so far. I know I've seen something about Mozilla somewhere. *g* It'll come back to me - probably after all holes and such have been filled in. <sigh>

I think I know what happened, Scoutt. I've got some Mozilla files, registries and such, but nothing attached to them. I think I missed them when I cleaned out NS6.0. <blush> Okay, so I'm not the brightest bulb in the box.
Anyway, just out of curiosity, I downloaded Mozilla myself. You know, if it's not going to be always crashing on my like NS6 did, I think I could learn to like it. *g* I'll play with it a bit, see what happens.
And with you having menu problems with your site, I immediately went over to my own. The text is a bit small in some places, but that's fixable, but otherwise, it doesn't look to bad. *lol* Well, no worse than the site normally looks. And that surprised me.
*wg* Don't go over? Well.... not today, anyway. It's getting late.

You can check this with a broswer info script.
Mozilla 4.0 is the code name for IE 5.
You can see the script here:

Steve, you're a genius! I *knew* I'd seen the Mozilla connection in something I'd already had, but I couldn't find it anywhere. Thanks for the information.
Okay, so I have Mozilla 4.0 and 1.0. Hmmm... Now that makes sense, right?
<sigh> Computers! I'll never understand them.

ummmm no. mozilla and NS are 2 different browsers that use the same gecko engine. mozilla is only up to 1.0 ORC and NS is up to 6.2.
it should come up with a window peg, you might have 1.0 or .9xxx
can you take a screen shot peg?

Mozilla 1.0 Release Candidate 1
Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC; en-US; rv:1.0rc1) Gecko/20020417
That's what I get when I call up the "About Mozilla" information, Scoutt.
I think I know where the confusion started for me. Some of my emails have the complete header and it mentions "Mozilla". Come to think of it, the Mozilla numbers Steve quoted match some of those on my emails. So that would be something other than "Mozilla the Browser", wouldn't it?
And that's where I was getting confused with the original post about the virus. I hadn't realized that Mozilla was a browser, too. I kinda like it. I think it's just NS6.2, but it doesn't show any of the NS markings.
*lol* But that tool bar will take some getting used to. I like the idea of having the bookmarks on the personal tool bar. The IE side bars are nice, but they get a bit distracting when you need to shove a page out of the way in order to find what you're looking for.
Thanks for the help, guys. <blush> I'm not sure it's ever going to make a whole lot of sense to me, but at least I know the light at the end of the tunnel isn't an oncoming train.
Not yet, anyway. ;)
