I am trying to develop an HTML newsletter that will work with all email systems. I know how to create it, the problem I am having is making it work correctly on certain email systems. Is there any special code to make it work on AOL or Yahoo? I have an AOL account that can recieve HTML emails (and they work), but when I send it from Outlook I cannot get it to read the images properly, even after assigning an absolute URL to the image. HELP! This has been driving me nuts and there is no good info on the web about it.

Mark,

thanks for the response. I realize it does not work on all email systems if the adminsrator does not let that functionality through the firewall. Here is my dilemma. I have created an HTML newsletter that works with various email systems. It works with some and does not work with others. Now I recieve newsletters from various web sites that work with all email systems. What are they doing that I am not to have thier newsletter work with all email systems? Is there some code that needs to be added? It is driving me nuts that I can't figure out the problem.

There are really a few things going on here..

1) people using older email programs that don't allow for HTML
2) people who turn off their HTML
3) the e-list program you're using to create and deliver the HTML
