Hi! This isnīt a real software question, but I didnīt find a better forum, so Iīm posting here. Everybody wants to know which browser or Html Editor is used. Wouldnīt it be interesting to know which Windows someone uses? Iīm now using Win Me and I must say, itīs not much better than Win95, which I have used before. Some bugs are gone, but Microsoft was successful in creating new ones. Which windows do you use? Or do you use Linux? I donīt know much about Linux, but from what Iīve heard, I see no reason to use it.

Win 98 and NT. I don't think there is any difference in the crash rate between the two. If I am running photoshop, and coldfusion simultaniously-and swapping back and forth a lot, I can crash the system 3 times a day. Linux was a lot more stable for me, but I prefer windows based software.

I frequently crash just minutes after booting. It's nothing out of the ordinary if I have to reboot half a dozen times in a few hours. For us PC users, rebooting is just another part fo the day.

I still use Windows95. I haven't heard anything about Windows98 and above that would make them worth the upgrade. And so far everything is working just fine in 95, and all the software I want to put on this computer is 95 compatible.

I use Win98 with a crash rate of about once a day. It used to be a lot worse until I installed Norton to "babysit" the system. It was about five times a day. I think they all go stupid from time to time.

I recently went through my msconfig on my Windows 98, after clearing our tons of junk, and freeing up system resources, I've been crashing much less lately. I've even gotten through a day or two crash free recently (of course I always shut down at night). If you're starting up with low system resources, no matter what windows version you are running, run your msconfig and clear out the junk.
