There is one more, which is banner free, but there`s a catch. You have to suscribe to at least 15 e-mail newsletters. The adress is: www.domainzero.com (http://www.domainzero.com)

jimmy, i *think* that namedemo only let you have the domain free for one year, to try it ou. after that if you want to keep it you have to register it and pay the fee.

Yeah, thats what i think to, but it is still a good deal, but i recomend using www.cjb,.net (http://www.cjb,.net) it is a url redirect site, with no pop ups, or adds, www.yoursite.cjb.net (http://www.yoursite.cjb.net)

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

let me try to rephrase
I want a PERMANENT, FREE domain
if its hosted, i dont care
if its web forwarding, i dont care
if its ad-supported, i dont care.

AS long as its free. and not just for a certain time.

Ian,

Have you tried domainzero? They let you renew it with them. It was one of the services mentioned in this thread.

4. Renewal. You will be notified by the Registrar via email message or via your account information regarding renewal of your domain name registration. In the event you elect to renew the domain name registration after the first year, you may either (1) pay us the renewal fees required by the registry administrator or, if available, (2) accept additional promotional offerings via email of third party Merchants listed in our renewal notice. Should you fail to take the required action to renew your domain name registration (i.e., (i)your failure to pay fees within the time specified in a second notice or reminder regarding renewal or (ii) your failure to accept our email promotion offering of third party Merchants), your registration will be cancelled after one (1) year. If payment is being made, it must be made by credit card or such other method as we may indicate in the registration application or renewal form. We will renew your name for you provided your credit card or other billing information is available and up to date, unless you instruct us otherwise within the time specified. If your billing information is not accurate and you wish to renew your domain name registration, we will contact you to update this information and charge you accordingly.

Looks like there is a catch, this is what I encountered when trying to visit your site:
There is a problem with the redirection/forwarding of this site.

Please contact: info@enom.com to report the problem or for more information.
This site provided by eNom, Inc. Domain Name Services

TLD = com, SLD = macswebdesign, ThirdLD = www

The database is currently too busy to perform the request..

Server: Redirector1

The service Macs is using does have cloaking. He just didn't set up his link like that. See, here is a cloaked link: http://www.macswebdesign.com/cost.htm. However he choose to use his alternative URL in the set up of his hyperlinks.
